Aimee Thunberg is the vice president of communications for Auburn Seminary, developing and implementing the organization’s integrated marketing activities to expand reach and impact of programs and initiatives. Aimee is a firm believer that the media is our most powerful tool to connect people and foster support for the greater good. Prior to joining Auburn’s staff, she was director of communications for Slow Food USA, the national association of the global Slow Food movement. Her formative years were in program promotion and fundraising for New York’s public broadcasting stations WNET/Thirteen and WLIW21. This experience led to her tenure as associate director of MarbleVision, the media ministry of the historic Marble Collegiate Church, affectionately known as “the birthplace of The Power of Positive Thinking.” A life-long foodie, Aimee’s favorite place to be is in her Hudson Valley kitchen, cooking with friends and family. She credits Wendell Berry with teaching her that “eating is an agricultural act” – a welcome antidote to her persistent black thumb.
