Lupe Sanchez is member of the Strategic Philanthropy team and helps grow and deepen relationships with foundations and other institutional partners. She provides technical support, research and insight to the grant writing and reporting process. Prior to Auburn, Lupe was part of the business development team at Better World Advertising, a reputable social marketing firm that creates award-winning media and provides communication services to government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and academic institutions that address disparities within the public health and social welfare space.
An advocate for social justice early in her career, Lupe helped to expand federally funded nutrition and health insurance programs for low-income children in California following her graduation from the Coro Fellows Program for leadership in Public Affairs. Today, Lupe lives in East Harlem and volunteers with the Migrant Center to protect and empower New York City’s immigrant families. Lupe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Claremont Graduate University.
