Asefa Wakjira, he/him

I was born and raised in rural Ethiopia. I got my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in Ethiopia, followed by an MPhil in Childhood Studies in Norway, and lastly completed a Master of Divinity in Theology at San Francisco Theological Seminary.

I'm an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament in Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Currently, I'm pastor at Our Redeemer Oromo Lutheran Church. I'm also Hospice Chaplain.

I'm married, with a five month old baby boy. Me and my wife enjoy walking, traveling, and visiting parks in Minnesota. I enjoy reading spiritual books and listen to podcasts on current affairs. I regularly post on Facebook Page. I also curate Gospel Songs of Oromo from Ethiopia and upload on YouTube.
