Dr. Maureen McCarthy

Maureen Terese McCarthy, PhD is the Executive Director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Quinnipiac University, where she is responsible for developing integrated support services for sponsored programs, faculty and student research, and scholarship activity across the university’s nine schools. Before joining Quinnipiac University in 2019, she worked on national education and workforce initiatives at the Council of Graduate Schools in Washington, DC.
 
In addition to her role at Quinnipiac, Maureen owns Verdance Consulting, a practice that supports small nonprofits in enhancing their operations and fundraising efforts, and serves on the Board of Auburn Theological Seminary. She is an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA).
 
Maureen holds a PhD and an MA in English from Emory University, as well as a BA in English and American Studies from Ursinus College.
