Dr. Tekita Blackwell (she/her)

Dr. Tekita C. Blackwell is a passionate educator dedicated to making a lasting impact in the classroom, community, and beyond. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology–Secondary Education from Norfolk State University, a Master of Divinity in Theology from Virginia Union University, an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. With over 27 years in education, Dr. Blackwell founded C.L.A.S.S Culture™️ (Creating Learning Atmospheres for Successful Students), an initiative designed to empower student success and foster lifelong learning. She serves on the Communities in Schools of Hampton Roads board, advocating for youth, supporting families, and strengthening educational access and equity. Dr. Blackwell also serves as Youth & Young Adult Minister at New Hope Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA, where she focuses on spiritual growth, mentorship, and transformative ministry. She is the visionary behind iYield™️, encouraging individuals to pause, surrender, and grow into their God-given potential. She enjoys moments of selah through sky gazing, jumping Double Dutch, listening to music, laughing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
