Grace Amwe
Grace is a second-year student in the Master of Arts in Christian Education and Formation (MACEF) program at Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS), where she joined in 2024 as an international student from northern Nigeria. Grace holds a Master of Science in Special Education from the University of Jos and has taught students from kindergarten through college. Her academic interests and vocational impulse lie at the intersection of disability, religion, and education. She seeks to create inclusive spaces that affirm the gifts and dignity of every person and pursues a vision of what she calls regenerative and transformative inclusivity through storytelling and shared lived experiences. Grace is a Student Assistant for the Polaris Leadership Fellowship Program at PTS and serves as a Student Intern with the Office of Continuing Education at PTS, where she is currently working on The Crossroads Project, a Lilly Endowment-funded initiative that explores how worship and prayer practices can nurture the spiritual development of children, especially those living with disabilities, in congregations of color. Grace is one of the 2025 recipient of the Kingston United Methodist "Ministry Innovation Grant" where she designed and developed the Home Away from Home initiative which aimed at fostering community and belonging among international students and the domestic residents of the Princeton-Kingston area through teatime discussions, storytelling, and shared meals. Grace finds joy revitalizing her academic and vocational calling through reflective walks, spending time with family and friends, and sharpening her skill in sign language and reading braille. Grace is excited to join WINKS Fellowship to grow in community and further explore how storytelling can empower EVERY child in community life and worship.
