Katie Golieb

Research, evaluation, and data enthusiast, melded with a macro social worker, social justice scholar who applies a community-oriented, strengths-based, and social justice lens to her work. Katie is passionate about education, youth- and family-oriented programs, restorative justice, interfaith dialogue and initiatives, and promoting equity and social change in local and national communities.

After earning a Master's degree in Social Work, she spent several years in program evaluation, with a focus on child welfare and restorative justice. As of June 2019, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) to develop a broader understanding of our public education system, policy changes that have the potential to positively impact children and families, and how critically applied research and evaluation can empower youth, families, and communities. I successfully defended my dissertation proposal in October 2025 and am expecting to graduate in June 2026.
