I am a proud child of Korean American immigrants. I was born in South Korea and came to the United States at the age of 9. We resided in Jersey City, New Jersey, where my father served as a pastor and my mother worked as a seamstress. All of my education took place on the East Coast. After seminary graduation, I moved to the West Coast to serve as Director of Christian Education in Torrance, California. We moved to Seattle, where I was a co-organizing pastor of a new church development, Seattle Community Church. During our time in Seattle, our family enjoyed camping and hiking together. In the year following 9/11, we decided to move closer to family and relocated to Long Beach, California, where I have served Grace First Presbyterian Church for the past 23 years. I was Associate Pastor for 22 of those years and now serve as the Intentional Transitional Pastor. I love to travel and enjoy exploring new places. In my downtime, I enjoy binging Korean dramas and love BTS.
