Rev. Laura Nile Tull (she/her)
My name is Rev. Laura Nile Tull and I am the pastor of a small Presbyterian congregation in Lakewood, Washington. I have degrees from: Seattle Pacific University, MDiv: Columbia Theological Seminary (MDiv), and The Citadel (MBA). I've been at my church for just over 2 years and currently work 3/4 time. Our small congregation is made up primarily of seniors and young families. It’s socioeconomically diverse and we’re in the process of reimagining new uses for our property to better serve our community. We’re growing with new families and sometimes we even have close to a 1:1 ratio of children to adults on Sundays! I'm excited to learn new ways of engaging all ages together in worship, discipleship, and fellowship. Not an easy task, especially since I don’t have any staff to work with beyond 2 young nursery attendants. At home, I have 3 toddlers— Jack (3) and Eli and Viola (1.5), a wonderful husband, David, and a rescue dog, Penny. In the summers, I love to garden and hike and this winter, I'm looking forward to getting back into my hobbies of pottery and stained glass, as well as skiing a few powder days on the mountains.
