What should I expect?

The Heal the World Summit is designed to gather and equip Auburn’s community of emerging faith leaders, young people, and elders committed to building community, bridging divides, pursuing justice, and healing the world.

Over the course of the week, Auburn’s community will gather to imagine a healed future through faithful and inspiring programming. Participants will adventure together in Auburn’s immersive Faithful Futures simulation, gain hands-on experience in healing labs, and participate in storytelling circles that foster healing-centered leadership, spiritual grounding, and community support.

Faithful Futures Simulation

Faithful Futures is an immersive simulation designed to help participants step into the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow. The simulation invites participants to wrestle with complex decisions, navigate uncertainty, and practice love and healing-centered leadership.

Faithful Futures isn’t about predicting the future. It’s about preparing for the future that is already unfolding. It equips leaders to respond faithfully and effectively to emerging realities, fostering resilience and hope in the face of change.

Storytelling Circles

Central to Auburn’s theory of change is storytelling. It is through acknowledging the stories that form and shape us, and sharing and receiving those stories, that we are healed and transformed.

Each afternoon, Auburn will offer participants an opportunity to learn its storytelling methodology. Each day begins and ends with different methods of intergenerational storytelling.

Labs of Healing

Labs are experimental and hands-on. Unlike workshops or lectures, labs provide an opportunity for participants to test or play with an idea or experience (experiment), as opposed to learn about a concept or idea.

Auburn’s alumni and partners will lead labs. Labs include opportunities to practice visual storytelling, to heal racial division within faith communities, and practice grounding spiritual practices, among others. Participants will be given options to sign up for labs each day.

Who should attend?

  • Religious and Faith Leaders: Leaders seeking community with others who want to imagine a healed future.

  • Emerging Leaders: Auburn alumni and faith leaders aspiring to become healers in their communities.

  • Wink Fellows: Participants in Auburn’s Wink Fellowship program are invited to attend as part of their program.

Auburn is a ten-generation Seminary rooted in the Christian tradition and preparing leaders for a multifaith, multicultural world. This summit is grounded in Christian practices but never in proselytizing.

We draw from the traditions we steward as we seek a healed future, and we invite participants to draw from the deep wells of their own traditions and wisdom as we co-create that future together.

Camp Zephyr is a 5-day, non-residential, faith-based summer day-camp program for first through fifth graders. Children must have completed kindergarten to attend camp.

Is the summit a Christian gathering?

Auburn Theological Seminary and Zephyr Point Conference Center were both founded as Christian organizations, and draws on the practices, symbols, and traditions we’ve inherited.

Read

Auburn is a Christian-rooted organization committed to preparing faith and cultural leaders for a multifaith world. The Heal the World Summit and Faithful Futures experiences draw deeply on the diverse and complex religious and cultural backgrounds of all who participate. While there will be moments that engage directly with the Christian tradition, the summit also creates space for practices, stories, and wisdom from the wide range of faith and cultural experiences represented by our community. This diversity is central to imagining and living into a healed future together.

Will there be scholarships available?

Yes. Auburn has limited funding to help cover the cost of registration and travel for participants with financial need.

Read

Auburn has provided a tiered registration structure, so people can self-select the level that supports the summit experience. We want to encourage participants to faithfully discern what support they might need to attend the summit.

Travel scholarships will be considered for applicants. Travel scholarships of up to $600 are available to help offset the cost of flights to and from the conference. View the application here.

You will receive a scholarship confirmation by April 15, 2026.
